Computer Crashes apon loading the game...

I have downloaded the demo and it crashed within 3 min of starting it and now my new copy of the game that is a hard-copy version is crashing my computer just when i click to start the program. My computer seems fine and it able to run DOW2: ret and Dead island without such issues. Does anyone know of what the problem is and any possible solution?
