View Full Version : Question: Overwatch For a Airstrike?

hello,

I'm making a Overwatch Ability for a Airstrike, and my question is this.

How can I make it so that it can be toggled and it stays as long you want it to be there untill you remove it, kind of like the 25 pounder's overwatch but with planes instead of the 25 pounders shells.

Note: That once you remove it there is a Cool down Timer.

Edit: this is going to be a Command Ability

take a look at the henschel strike, that's the one you want for your base. in terms of toggling, that is more difficult because i presume you want it to target a specific area? what i would do is have it so when it activates, it adds a player upgrade. this player upgrade enables another ability which is your de-toggle and covers the same slot as your initial ability.when you click to activate the second ability, it removes itself and stops the other ability using the 'stop ability action', which should activate its cooldown

sounds hard to do, I've already used the pe's henschel strike Ability for a base so i have that step done already. And yes you presume Rightly, it's a area Specific.

Edit:
When I tried this Ability (made for the US Airborne) I had it set up in the allied_rifle_company racepbs. However when I tried it the Abilities button went yellow as if the timer was going but was unable to stop the ability but the planes kept on a coming (as if the US went Crazy with the Airstrikes).

I feel as if I'm Missing something.

The link below has Everything that I (I think) have Set up for this Ability along with the p47_thunderbolt_rockets_(overwatch), a new weapon, plus projectile, and is supposed to enable the overwatch Remover ability.
