Blue Man Group is good....It's like heavy rock with 10x more drums and no singing(both good and bad)

Crystal Method is always cool.

I really like a single that a group named Solar Stone has out: "Seven Cities"

You've never heard of these ppl before so i'll shut up.

Dude they don't call themselves TRANCE control for no reason: http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/0/trance_control.html

Thier music has more of a melody than is normal in trance, but it's still awsome!

Also check out: Solar Stone-Seven Cities, Balearic Bill-Destination Sunshine, and anything from Vincet De Moor is good!

Currently on the stereo:
Ike & Tina Turner
Sam & Dave
The Temptations
Earth, Wind and Fire (k so it's more funk)
Jackson 5 (k same there)
Drifters
Ray Charles
Otis Redding

This is the result of finding a great vinyl sale that had lot's of cheap old soul. Great music but hard to find in the local stores. And i am not bying compilations.

And yeah, Pink Floyd is played alot to. Found three albums with them wich means i only have to find Piper at the gates of dawn to have their essential stuff(imo).

Tool are very good, but WTF is with the videos?

Unlike most bands, they express themselves in their videos. It's an artform. Sometimes art doesn't make sense to all people.

Oh, RATM aren't in limbo as such. Chris Cornell is taking the lead, and Morello is staying as far as I know... [/B]

Yes, Tool is very good, and as individuals, the members are each respectively good at their craft.:yippee:

I know all that, it has been common knowledge for the past several months, and nothing new has come since then. Thus, until something new comes up, they shall remain as such.

Alpha, yes I can. See everyone else you mentioned in your post.

Oh, yeah...AFI! And Incubus!
Knew I forgot someone!
And Ozzy rules, but Zakk Wylde rules more...

And what, pray tell, is wrong with Drive-In? Other than being split up, that is?
I suppose you're gonna say Hundred Reasons are entirely original, too, aren't you? :)

bluevorlon
22nd Mar 02, 12:05 PM
At least Hundred Reasons can play their instruments... ;)

I respect At The Drive In's energy, attitude, look, spirit, ethos, ... I just think they need an actual tune

I never got this 'favor' band thing, do you guys like every song wrote by the bands you quote?

For me most of them are one or two hits, and that's about it, and so I don't qualify them as 'favorite' band.

PS why are classic composers here too.

I liked bikini kill. For some reason the Riot Grrl stuff was amusing. I bet they'd kick my ass if they heard me say that though.
And their new incarnation as Le Tigre is even better.

I'm with blue on the old skool punk issue. Buzzcocks please.
