im not making a mod but trying to give some words ov advice to all the modders out there with crazy ideas and stuff that i read and know that its wrong in some way shape or form.
1. In a Thread about a Tau mod the creator suggested a crisis battlesuit with a power halberd.
That isn't how it works, you dont force them to have a CC weapon you make it an option for them to upgrade to one, on TT the shas'o has a BS of 5 giving him a 2+ to hit roll and this would negate that ability.
2. In the same thread someone else posted a suggestion of having a squad of 4 pathfinders.
Similar to the power halberd, you get a basic number and then can choose to add more units to the squad and choose to equip them a certain way.
3. Ive seen a suggestion that in close combat the Tau continue to shoot instead of fighting.
This wont work as it gives them an unfair advantage. A devestator squad is forced to fight, so all their handy weapons become useless, so really the tau should too.
