how to paint a SM in snot green to full effect and how do you paint the eyes and guns

im making a SM leigon [YES I MEAN LEIGON NOT CHAPTER thats copyrighted] thats ex-communicate they decided to flee the emperor after the herasy rather then make little chapters i can't think of a name anyway there gonna be snot green and i want to know how to paint them to full effect the armour will be snot green eyes ultramarines blue and guns metal [duh] i really need help on this [i might post pics when i can]

there were 20 legions pre heresey, legions 2 and 11 were expunged from the records, but you do enough digging and you can find out about them, so if your trying to be correct fluff wise, you cant make a legion, only a sub chapter of one of the former legions that decided to flee.

Lol random person, GW has never revealed what happened to those 2 lost legions. Many, many, many people have speculated and made up their own history, so I see no reason why Imperial Marine can't come up with his own little conspiracy theory.

Now, to actually answer the question, if you have your color scheme picked out already, you've already done the hard part. My advice would be find some pictures of salamanders are paint them like that. Then use a lot of red paint to paint chaos runes and all kinds of indecent chaos-y stuff on their armor. Make sure to file off or slash through, or similarly desecrate any imperial icons, especially the Aquila (double-headed eagle).

these are Ex-communicate im doing not chaos since theres not much point i could do the armour in 2 colours snot green and *insert colour here* i was hoping on snot green and anyway they won't look like salamanders if you look in the SM codex theres already another chapter in there with the same bloody armour colour i forgot what its called [oh dear hope this doesen't turn into a flameing match now] and there helmets [well squad leaders helmets] will be bad moon yellow i know how to paint them but not to full effect im probaly the worst painter in the galaxy [sorry for the swareing] oh and where can i get pics of some salamanders i need insparation

go with the flow...mix a camo scheme with the range of colours availible from GW.

you can blend and shade till you run out of paint-just remember the mixture combos to repeat it again.

As for painting small details:
using a 00 or smaller brush(I've been known to hack down a brushtip until there's just a couple of hairs left to paint a dot.)
you could also try using a dip pen(crow quill) with thinned down paints.
