How to get your Terminators and Drop Pod Units.

Step 1 Buildings
Upgrade Stronghold to Monastery
Build Sacred Artifact
Upgrade Monastery to Fortress Monastery
Build Orbital Relay

Step 2 Units
Now Barracks allows Terminators and Assault Terminators to be built (now click build terminator).
Orbital Relay allows Marines, Dreadnoughts and Hellfire Dreadnoughts to be deployed using a Drop Pod (now click build dreadnought).

Step 3 Deployment
Terminators – When the unit is built a grey bar will appear just above the buildings health bar to show that it contains units waiting to deepstrike. Select the building (Barracks) then click the icon that has three small arrows pointing down. When you move the cursor over the ground it now has three arrows, select where you want the unit to deepstrike and left click the mouse (and X over the three arrows cursor means they cant deploy there, find a new place). After you click, 5 red triangles will appear on the ground and about 2 or 3 seconds later the unit will appear.

To summarise the drop pods;
Click Terminator to build
When complete select Deepstrike icon (3 arrows from Barracks)
Click on ground.

Drop Pods – The Marines, Dreadnoughts or Assault dreadnoughts built in the orbital relay are deployed using the same technique as the terminators, except the building used is for construction and deepstrike is the Orbital Relay. When clicked on ground they appear from a Drop Pod.

To summarise the drop pods;
Click Marine, Dread or Assault Dread
When complete select Deepstrike icon (3 arrows from Orbital Relay)
Click on ground.

These techniques are similarly used to deploy Obliterators in the Chaos army.

Units can only deepstrike within line-of-sight of another friendly unit.

I believe you may also want to point out that they can only deep strike in LoS of a friendly unit. That they can not DS anywhere on the map.

Oops forgot about that thanks for the reminder Matthius.

last time i tried, i could also load finished dreadnoughts and marine squads into the orbital relay and deploy them by drop pods - it is not neccessary to build them in the relay.

Horrors aren't deepstriked, they are summoned. :nyah:

And don't forget you CAN reinforce BEFORE deepstriking a unit.

Deepstrike them into your base, boost them as desired, then load them back into the Relay.

For drop podding marine squads, i think a pod can only hold 8 marines, including special characters. Any more, and they wont even load into the pods.

9 and a special character, dont forget the sergeant. You can also drop two squads in one drop pod so it comes to a total of 20 ( if special characters are included in the squad, if not 18).

How do you drop two squads?

I was only able to fill 4 of the drop pods. 1 marine squad, two dreads, and a termy squad

it looks like we should be able to have 6. And how do you load two into one pod? caue it looks like the pods have the ability to hold multiple squads
