Basically, does having Fleet of Foot on affect a unit's capabilities in assault? Obviously it reduces their effectiveness in ranged combat, but should I be turning it off once my Banshees make it into close combat?

Cheers.

Don't know, i heard a pretty good suggestion that fleet of foot should decrease ranged accuracy but increase close combat dodging (makes sense to me). Would also boost banshees just that little bit.

No, if you're going to go into assault, just keep it on and charge in! Unless someone corrects me, I think hits are worked out automatically, no "accuracy" involved.

I think you're wrong. The game refers many times to accuracy...even fleet of foot does.

Yes, so you fire less accurately when using Fleet of Foot (which makes sence as you're sprinting). I don't see anything or any reason why it does/ should effect close combat though...

In the closed beta we had unoffically decided that fleet of foot DOES HAMPER close combat, but we could be wrong. I've yet to see someone offically test it.

It shouldn't as it doesn't in the tabletop game, if anything it should make you better (increased speed/agility)

None of us actually properly tested this and it would be difficult to do so due to the random element in combat.

Personally I turn it off when I go into close combat but early beta I used to leave it on without any problems.
