Every time I play a game in the tutorial it is fine for a few minutes and then quickly freezes every few seconds, and then unfreezes. It continues like this for the rest of the game.

Same here, a lot of my friends have metioned the same thing. Aparently its fine in mutli olayer. Perhaps we all need to upgrade out motherboard drivers...

I've got the Same problem but i think it's just a matter of Hardware. This "freezing" begins when i've built some Units or in Battles!

Hi I do have the same problem. I read that the minimum RAM required for an 8 player game is 1024 Mo (1Go) ouch... it hurts... but the tutorial is just a 2 player game...
to answer to your question I have 512 Mo PC2700

There's a long thread about this over in the Performance forum. Basically, it's not your computer that's the problem; it's the tutorial/AI code. Almost everyone has this problem.

Same dealie - ten seconds of smooth, perfect gameplay (Emperor be blessed!)
And then over a minute of PURE FREEZE. The music plays on, but the game is as frozen as a corpse in the snow.
