Coolest Battle?

Last night I played the coolest battle ever. 2v2, Quatra. SM (me) and Orks vs SM/SM. Normally I played Eldar, but felt like trying Marines.

So anyway, both sides capture half the map. My ork ally rallied a huge amount of orks and charged them into opposing territory. At first, our enemies were winning. It was both their hoards against the Ork guy.

And then, suddenly, BAM. 40 Marines (plus 4 sergeants and a Force Commander), with 16 PGs, Droppod into the battle. Soon after follow 2 Dreds and 2 squads of Assault Termis.

The battle lasted for more than 5 minutes, and the screen was packed with guys. It slowly broke up into several smaller battles, seperated by mere yards. And then, when my forces were almost depleted...BAM! Two more squads droppod down, followed by another two tac squads in Land Raiders.

My Land Raiders soared up ahead, trundling towards one enemy base. They encountered about 5 turrets, which they started firing on. Easy enough. Then suddenly, 50 marines came pouring out of the depths! :argh:

My marines jumped out of the Raiders, but they seemed doomed...until 70 orks finally reached the fight and tore up the place!

Pure mayhem.

i feel you.. this game will really rule once they balance it and work a few kinks out of it.

Last game I was In we had a 3v3, my teammates and I synchronized 2 orbital bombardments and an Eldritch Storm to ravage some poor soul's base lol...
I can say that was the best game i've played :D the screen was literally almost whited out....

The best game I played was last friday. I had to unwinde after a hard week of summer school so I booted up teh beta, found a game, chose marines and went to work. I joined a 3v3 and readed my self for mayham. The host screwed up and auto teamed us to 2 man teams, so it was a 2v2v2 and hit fixed locals so my team mate was on the other side of the map. To make a long story short, two of the players droped 'both on the same team' and it was just me and my team mate vs 2 orther marines. They both obliterated my allies base, with no way to sport him I could only watch, but I didnt let him die in vaid, I lunched a masive counter assault with 6 whrilwinds and 5 tact suqad of marins fully loaded! I devstated the guy who was closest to me defences and tried to advance but was stoped by his entire army! Over 4 dreads 4 tact squads and I dont want to know how many assault marines poured out of his bace! I battled on and managed to destory the FIRST wave but then the second hit me hard! I managed to destory it but then YET another wave hit my brave troopers ! Finaly my termantors squad came in and started to rain teh payne on his marines dashing them to pices! I finally manged to criple his base when my termantors were attacked from the rear! HIs ally had finally rebuilt his force and was dashing my termantors to bits! With a few well time trasports I retared my force back to my base and started to crank out the dreads, seing how my wurialwinds had been destoryed by the flanking munover. It was a long and hard battle but I managed to destory his force, that consided to 3 preds with Lazcannons, 2 land Raiders and a ton of marines. THen it was my turn to counter attack! I built up a force as fast as I could, 3 full squads of termantors, 1 squad of assault termantors and max limit of dreads, I think 8. Ok so when I said long story short I lied, but in the end I smashed his defences and obliterated his bace.

I'd have to say that my best battle ever was a 3v3, with Chaos(me), SM, and Orc vs 2 Eldar and another Chaos.

After several titanic clashes between all six of our armies, in which my team generally came out on top, due to the orcs and SMs ability to just soak up fire so as I could smash into the enemies rear with Raptors and Defilers. The Hammer/Anvil effect of this was pretty effective, but they proved adept at jumping the majority of their forces out of the trap, so we basically tore each other to pieces about 3 times before everyone finally hit their tech limit.

Now I was taking a bit longer due to building 5 Obliterator squads, 6 fully Lascannoned Predators, a Chaos Lord/Sorcerer, and a Bloodthirster, so the enemy was able to hit us first. The Chaos enemy attacked me, but his Defilers were no match for my Preds and his army was DECIMATED, despite a last minute Thirster summon, which I promptly counter Summoned, and due to my superior fire support, quickly dealt with. I proceeded across the map and killed him before he could muster any significant defense. I then proceeded to move along the row, destroying all the enemies bases, only to look down at the minimap and find the remaining two enemies had destroyed my allies armies and were proceeding to lay waste to their bases.

It became a race against time as we both desperatly searched for the opposing sides buildings, but due to some clever builder hiding by one of them, I only manged to take out one of them before the final enemy finally finished off my ally and moved on to my base. Since I hadnt thought to hide any buildings he was able to finish me off before I could find where his damnable last building was, despite my vastly greater military strength.

Despite my loss, my score was close to TWICE that of anybody else, so I felt quite proud, and it definitly was the best game I have played so far.

I could tell about my big battles too, but they can be summed up in one word: LAG :p

My best games so far has been 3 Space Marines Vs 3 Eldar.

Sure it wasn annihilation at the time... but n'yea we wanted silly amounts going on anyway. So we amass upto Orbital arrays and witness deepstrike from 3 marine bases is a marvel... it just droppods every 5 seconds.

Until the Eldar had only like 10 units left and we had to hunt every ruin to kill them all..

There was mroe going on than that but it was a big game so :) Lasted about an hour too.

Best match i've ever had was a 3vs2, one of our guys dropped out at the start. So it was me(SM) my ally(Eldar-noob) vs 2 orks and a SM. Anyway they quickly hemmed us in to our corner of the map, then repeated to attack us from the same direction over and over again, but my Wolves held firm under the constant attacks from the Orks, my Eldar ally was busy doing his own thing making Grav Tanks and going on suicide charges into the SM's base, only to get hammered every time. But back to the good stuff- There was a deathly quiet over the map, nothing moved apart from my Termies teleporting in. So as it stood a I hade 4 sqauads of Marines full up, with 2xML and 2xHB an Apothercary for all sqauds, 2 full squads of Terms with Autocannons, and 1 full squad of Assault Terms with FC attached, 2 Dreds an1 1 Hellfire dred, and 2 twin-linked las cannoned preds without the other las-upgrades. And a Librarian.

My wonderfull ally in the mean time was still spamming Prisms and sending them down the side of the map to run into AV turrets. So now comes the final battle, 2 entire ork armies came down the same road into the killing fields bewteen our two base's, all of my SM squads and the two Terms were in craters making them nigh on invulnerable to attack, with my 8 AT and FC at the front, valiantly taking on the two Squiqs they brought with them, well I lost 4 AT's to enemy fire while taking down the two Squiqs, with very hefty fire support from my other Marines, and Orbital Bombarbment reaking havoc with his reinforcements, i single handedly took out both of their Ork armies, while my Eldar ally sent his Fire Prisms one by one into the enemy base. Losses were heavy on my side, 2 full squads of SM dead, 1 Assault Terminator left FC nearly died but Battle Cry and Word of the Emporor saved the day, lost one of my preds, and lost 2 dreds, but the Hellfire was still standing. No losses amongst my other Terms, then the SM player came in with about 6 preds fully upgraded and about 5 squads of normal Marines, my Wolves managed to take out all of his normal Marines, but 2 preds were left standing at the end, his two preds, that was me finished. Then the Orks came in and decimated the Eldar player. Looking at the points I had nearly all of the high scores, with the very proud score of 420+ kills and 110 losses, if i could put up a screenie i would.

The best game I've ever played was one of the few times me and Mole had a 2v2 vs TB and AA. It was the one we won :p

2v2, eldar(me) and SM vs eldar and chaos. this was on the new 4 player map, and we started on the left. took the inital points leading to the strat point in the center, but after a long skirmish we were pushed back. built up some defenses along our lines, and tried another push. this went well until we hit the defenses set up by our opponents near the strat point. as both sides rebuilt again, I looked around the map, and it was as if my teammate read my mind. he built 2 landspeeders, I built 2 falcons and 2 prism tanks. loaded up my seer council with farseer into one falcon, a load of dark reapers in the other. he began another push towards the strat point with his army, while his landspeeders and my tanks, plus a squad of warp spiders, leaped over the mountain range in the middle part of the map, directly into the rear of our eldar opponent's base. his base was mostly undefended, and his other units arrived piecemeal and were easy to defeat. my teammates attack didn't go nearly as well, and he was pushed back, and our chaos opponent began a major push into our defensive lines. he destroyed most of our static turrets and any buildings close to the front, but during the time he spent destroying these I was able to complete the destruction of the eldar base, and recalled my extremely mobile attack force back and pushed them out. after that it was a mop up operation, with the chaos player and remaining eldar forces unable to mount a defense against us.

i just finished a game 2vs2 my base was attacked my both the other teams it was a very big battle for about 10mins lots of blood this game would be sick if there wasn't so mcuh lag
