View Full Version : We need diff types of capture points. Here is one.

Yes having 3 types is just not enough(not counting the place for your big generator cause its not a flag place). These are good for small maps 4 and under. but 6 and 8 need something more.It just seems that its a huge repeat.

Id like to see something called a Time ripper. Basicly its a portal that keeps sending low end troops. I mean your first type of troops.YOu cant uprade any of them.

thus leaving you nver defencless. 2 for 8 maps and 1 for 6's. it makes them come 2.5x(might be slower for balance) slower then normaly but they just keep coming taking up there own troop limit of 5.

But they auto maticly die if you loose controll. THuse if they get your flag down half way the portal will start to collapse and the troops will die instantly.

Just something diffrent. Of course the portal would look diff for each race. Of course this can change for balance but this is just a idea.

Feel free to comment. No flames if you dislike it then give a logical reason in a constructive post.

The problem with that is that you can't guarentee that the person currently being attacked or getting attacked the most will have that. The person who is attacking could have it and continue to hurt you even more.

ok what if it possibly only activated when you are loosing? Like once your buildings start getting attacked. Possibly only the ones near your hq.but that wouldnt work cause it would be in the middel of a map or atleast not near you.

They could possibly start coming once enough units loose moral.

I agree that there should be something thats similar to Take and Hold but different though I doubt we'll see it since the game is basically done already.

Losing. LOSING. One O! One! Not "loosing" as in "your pants are loose". Gah! I don't mean to flame but that sets my teeth on edge :P Anyway....

Yeah, it would be cool if there were more cap points. I dunno about giving you more troops though, as that could upset the balance of the game pretty early, unless it has a REALLY long timer. Maybe a big stationary gun perhaps? Or how about a free upgrade? Good thought, but a bit late, methinks. This late in the beta I doubt they're going to add any new content, just tweaks and balancing.

Then expantion it is lol. i like the free upgrade idead. get like a free one every 5 minuets. Still can be a portal though. Possibly a convoy comes to deliver it to ya.

Maybe something like bunkers or fire-points? Buildings that you could capture and use for cover.

Bunkers would be a good idea but they dont need to be a control point, just a building. And they could be vulnerable to grenades to allow for the extra protection a building offers.

I like the idea of a gun of some sort as a control point, maybe a big gun thats like the orbital bombardment of the space marines that takes time to load but when it does you get to use it at range to attack anywhere on the map with high power shells.

it woukld rbe really unfair

Space Marines - 2 Scouts
Scouts are not good defence units if you cant give them sniper rifles, the 2 units you get would die almost instanty

Chaos Space Marines - 5 Cultists
They could hold off a minor attack party easily, but anything larger they will DIE!!! (when i say minor i mean like.. 2 scouts)

Eldar - 4 Guardians
4 ranged basic infantry holding off the enemy.. better than 5 cultists

Orks - 4 Slugga Boyz
Same as Eldar, but CC

Major Balance issues O.o

True. But im liking the huge orbital thing. Just prob one shot in like 10 min like the nuke is SC.
