View Full Version : [OPINION] Make vehicle units consume up power.

Here is my idea for balancing vehicles:

Make vehicles take up power every second for existing.

It should be a fairly minor drain easily compensated by building an extra power generated and with more powerful vehicles taking up more power, but it will make it more difficult for a person to build additional vehicles after he's gotten the first.

Furthermore, it will make vehicles become even more reliant on power generators. If you can knock out a person's power generator's somehow, and his vehicles drain all his power, in addition to all his other resouce problems, all unpowered vehicles now will be /stunned/ until he can get the power situation fixed.

nah, i would just ad 1 to the dreadnoughts cap taking

and lower the vehicle capacity to 10


and that leads to even more econimical crisises

You won't have any economic crisises if you use a mostly infantry army with only a few vehicles to support thme. If you choose to rely heavily on vehicles and are forced to gamble by building power generators everywere, that's the price you pay for the army type you chose.

and if the game would allow it its not ballanced

infantry game = not many tanks
tanks = suport

I'm not going to be arguing with you on that, but currently in DoW vehicles are at the very least, the main arm of all late-game armies. Once vehicles come into play, infantry are support(if not completely ignored) and the vehicles are the stars.

untill they counter 2 squads with 4 missile launchers in each squad

i stoped 4 predators with these 2 squads, man did he got anoyed cous he sended his infantry the othere way where my army was waiting (backed up by 2 whirwinds)

I know for a fact that doesn't work due to enormously high attrition rate of infantry when fighting vehicles.

Try sending those squads up against dreads or Fire prisms and we will see how long they last.
Generally anti-tank infantery is too ineffective against tanks.
Do they even take more damage from attacks in the rear/flanks?
