[HOWTO] Do Orks/Eldar even wear badges?

I created a custom badge, which works fine on Marines/CSM. However...I can't see where on earth it is on my Eldar! I tried just a normal badge, and I can't find that anywhere either! I've heard that orks experience a similar problem.

i remember the badge appearing on wraithlords heads.... that all i can remember, as for orks I don't play with them much so I would'nt know.

I just asked about this. I haven't found it for Orks or Eldar either.

I've seen my custom badges on the backs of warp spiders =)

They can be seen for the Eldar on the head of the wraithlord and on the back of warpspiders.

Noticed this too.
I don't play CSM so I don't know about them... but my badge and banner shows perfectly fine when I play SM, but not when playing Orks or Eldar, with the exact same settings.
Hopefully they're getting it fixed.

Unfortunately, there are simply very few places for a logo that size to go on most of the Ork models.

The backplate is intended for decals like that, but the backplates in DoW are the size of small dinner plates.

Which really sucks cuz I have an awesome badge. :D

If badges are on the backs of warpspiders and the heads of wraithguard, where exactly where would a banner show up when playing Eldar? Am I correct in assuming a banner is what gets initially placed when a strategic point is captured?

Just curious, because I have a great looking banner that never shows up anywhere.

It is definitely bugged. I'm sure you know that the banner images, when working properly, show up on flags over strategic points. When playing SM, they show up fine. Not when I'm Ork or Eldar. And obviously, the way flags look and work are pretty much, if not completely, identical for all races.

Banners show up on flags. They also show up on HQs, although small on the Eldar one. Since they aren't working, what look like three diagonal stripes show instead of my custom banners, at least for me.

edit: It actually might have been badges that show up on HQs.

A friend and I just tested this and discovered that custom banners are not working for Eldar, but do work for SM. Were I to take a stab at this I suspect its because the single player is marine only, and they didn't implement custom banners for Ork/Eldar yet. Who knows.

Regardless, I'm going to browse the bug reports and file a report on this if one does not already exist.

My custom banners and badges work just fine, only problem is the problem with others not being able to see them in MP games.
