Here's a collection of some of my minis that I've done recently. Though there's a bunch of new stuff I've not got round to getting photos of.

Each panel of leather is a slightly different colour (which doens't really show up too well in the photo), but it's based on snakebite leather with a variety of other colours mixed in (eg Scorched brown, catachan green, fortress grey).

that is one awsome drednaught. How much green stuff did you use?

Took about 2/3 of a pack to assemble and convert that thing, was a real mission and took about a week to complete. I've got another dreadnought conversion I'm working on at the moment, using an IG sentinel as a base for an Orky stomping machine with a few "improvements" from a mad Mekboy.

And no, I'm not a GW uber-painter. Far from it, their stuff is far better than anything I could do. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to enter Golden Daemon, but I'm going to need to get ten times better at painting than I am at the moment.

when you are working on your orky dred, look around your house for any objects that might be useful (i.e. pens, paper clips, boxes, bottles, etc.). Random stuff can be good scrap and cannons.

Screw golden deamon man...(im a ok painter...but thats not the point) the best stuff never wins. You have to paint in their style or else no matter how converted/well painted its not gonna win(im not saying you cant im just saying its hard!) This guy was analyzing an entry that imo should have won slayer sword...but because there was too much blue here and not enuf here, and too little yellow highlights here, balh blah blah, it didn't even make first cut... :banghead:

How long did it take you to make the dreadnought and are you selling it

The dread was about 36 hours worth of work in all. I've not got any plans to sell it at the moment however, I also don't think it would survive in the post.

The Chaos stuff is a good 9 months old at least, I hadn't been painting for about 5 years before that.

Having said that, I do intend to go back and make some of them look a bit more weathered, as well as improving them in general as my painting has improved a fair bit since then.
