thank you very much. altho i just noticed tha dark area under his eye. i did paint that bit but on the photo it looks as if someone has given him a black eye. hmm that could be a funny way to paint orks. with black eyes.

thats the problem looks. he would probally loose to alot of other commanders because they have bigger nastier weapons like lighting claws, thunder hammers.

Dude, what you have to remember is that you are not a hard core gamer guy, you're like myself. You get a themed army idea, and you do it, whether you win or lose, your army has a story and theirs doesn't.
He looks wicked though. Well done on the paint job.

Is it legal for a force commander to take two swords? I didnt think this was allowed, I think one has to be a bolt pistol or plasma gun or some sort of shooty thing such as that?
How would you explain what those weapons are for WSYWIG play?

Easy. "Counts as" Lightning Claws.
The Twin Swords of Lightningy Doom are specially powered by his armor to give the electrostatic discharge of lightning claws, and the edges are honed to a nearly monomolecular edge. These special artifacts were uncovered on the planet of Gorth, where Force Commander Spock single handedly defeated an entire Ogre Blood Bowl team in a single strike.
There ya go. There's the basis, now just give it a REAL story, and you should be good.

It's not illegal to have two swords, wtf are you talking about. You can have either 2 single handed weaps, or a single and a two handed.

It is illegal to have two swords, but only if they're both power swords, or both CCWs. He could easily count them as lightning claws or power sword and CCW.

there is no rule against having two swords. there just isnt any point. and why would you want two power swords? even if you only have one then all attacks dissallow armour saves. he has a holster? then he has a bolt pistol and a pair of lightening claws. as long as you exlain to your oponenet and pay the points then this should be a-ok.
oh, and decent pj - the armour looks a little thick tho
An advide, put more water on your paints... the surfaces are really bad painted, too granulated and you have deleted many details. Is better to paint twice a surface than 1 with thick paint.
You have used imprimation?

well in answer to the weapon questions. he has 1 power sword and a close combat weapon. i can claim their is a bolt pistol in his holster, but frankley im not that bothered, its only a shot or 2 from a bolt pistol, and i have to get close to use it anyway.
right on the colour of the robes, its just basically that i wanted quite a light blue, because i felt it went better with the colour of the armour, im a great fan of blues.
for painting the face i think it was the black undercoat, then beastial brown, then highlight went over with elf flesh but let tiny bits of brown show through. i did do faces, with 2 flesh colours, but it looked a bit odd, and my mate paints is faces brown first so i tried it. it came out kinda cool, damned if i know why the brown works but it did this time. the teeth were painted skull white, i went a tiny bit onto the lower lip, but i just went over with elf flesh again. i cant paint eyes well so i left them as black alcoves, my excuse being that they are in shadow.
zui, ur right i do need to use more water, i hardly use any but it has served me well and old habits die hard. when looking at the model i can understand why you think they look all rough like, there are a bit but the photo seems to have made it a lot more apparent. it doesnt look so bad when i look at the model as it is. however his right shoulder pad is bound to look qutie rough, their is a layer of green stuff covering it. the pad orginally had a dark angles symbol on, i tried to file it off but failed horribly, so i had to cover it in green stuff, which sadly im horribly crap at using. im not sure which details you are talking about to tell you the truth tho, i thought i had picked most of them out. also what do you mean imprimation? do you mean transfers? everything on this model i painted with my own fair hand.
thnxs for the feedback guys.

for my faces i drybrush on three layers of bronzed flesh and a light coat of dwarf flesh, i use skull white for teeth though i cannot paint eyes so i usually just put a dot of brown there

A GW manager 'round here had his Ultra Marine commander w/ two plasma pistols. He says they count as master crafted. Kinda makes sense, since you can rap off a shot if you miss the first. If the power sword is master crafted, I'd allow that on the Mini. Worth the points dump too :bandit:

well im just going for a master crafted power sword and close combat weapon, plus terminator honours, that means 5 attacks basic.

would hate to be the enemy stuck in his way in a fight

Sorry my english, I mean primer spray (i dont know if is the correct word). A white paint spray to use before painting the miniatures :)

nah, i painted him black for an undercoat.
anyway most force commanders aint that good at shooting, the biggest gun they can pack is prolly a storm bolter or a combi bolter plasma gun
