The space marines have so many books people begin to wonder if their are more space marines then other armies.
so why the blood hell is it that no one has written one about the Orks?
Its all Racial ya know. :banghead: :vikingb: :madashel:

I like orks.
It would just be loads of fighting and sitting around smashing heads.
Wait, that does sound like it would make a good book, but Gav Thorpe better not wright it.

I think i'd buy it just for a novel-sized amount of orky humour.

I think you could make some good graphic novels based on orks. A book may not work so well though, it would get kind of repetitive.
Orks kills ork. Ork kills ork for killing ork. Orks get together and kill ork for killing that ork. Big load of orks start fighting other orks. Humans arrive. Orks fight humans. Humans kill orks. Some orks survive, get a load of other orks and kill humans and steal their sugarcrisp cereal. The End.

I think I may go grab a copy of Deff Skwadron. Anything with Orks in is good enough for me.

Yeah, but it's not centered on an Ork though, is it? But it still is a good book.

The rules for submitting stories to Inferno! explicitly say not to submit stories of Orks or Eldar. Apparently Ork stories are something the GW gods definitely don't want.

What inferno?
A fanfiction thing?
Doesn't it seem wrong not to make any stories about the Orks.
I mean they have such and interesting philosphy on life...Its so interesting.
And Orkish Society is so much more interesting then Human,Eldar,Nids,Tau.
Its just so basic i love it :bandit:
We need to send the Orks to robotech, and see how the Mimmey peace songs affect the Orks. :flamer:

I'm currently trying to find the second Kal Jerico graphic novel, damn Kal is cool. They need a novel based around him, and then a 3rd person action shooter

Yeah but Jericho is a smart up-hive boy rather than this psychopath who wanders round shooting people.

heh heh, Orks have the best slogans :)
Between "'ere we go, 'ere we go" and "red wunz go faster", how can you go wrong?? And somehow it's inherently funny to think of Orks saying, "Cosmos".
The only time Warhammer ever tickles my funny bone is when I'm reading Ork fluff/rules and especially the Grot special rules.

Actually, up until the Tau book, GW forbade submitted fiction from featuring a non-human race as the protagonist. It was acceptable that the protagonist die (presumable in grisly fashion), but he/she had to be human.
Which is why you've never seen any Ork books. On the other hand, in Rogue Trader, there was a number of Ork fiction excerpts in the little assorted "gray boxes" but that's it.
Well-written Ork fiction can be very good - even without corny nuttiness, though that's often welcome.

What kind of BS is that? the protagenist can't be non-human unless he/she dies? while were at it lets change "warhammer40,000" to "marinehammer 40,000".

You've got it wrong.
The protagonist must be human EVEN IF he or she dies.
The human can die to tyranids or Orks or whatever, but up until this Tau book, the protagonist HAD to be human.

i've always loved the blood axes i've always felt them to be the most "zany" orks. I reckon the best ork quote was from the 4th edition warhammer armies book.
"stick em with arrerz, stick em with knives but most of all stick em when their not lookin"
