My 1000 Point Assault Army

Hey guys, i have a battle comin up here and its a 2v2, everyone gets 1000 pts and im going to be my friends space marine meatshield while he pounds em with his ig basilisks and such. In other words hes ranged, im CC.

Heres my army list:

The footnotes weren't needed, anyone that could help with this already knows there way around marines... I hope.

My suggestion would be to get rid of the sniper rifles and use the points to make your leader a force commander. A leader won't do anything but die.

Sorry about the footnotes, it came straight off my army builder and i forgot to delete them.

And the only reason i would want to add anything to my leader would be to give him jump packs so he could actually help in my army, I dont think the 30 points it takes to make him a force commander is worth it in this army as he probably wont be able to even engage in combat.

you have an army builder? is it a program type thing or just something you type yourself?

Its a program, by Lone Wolf development. You can download a trial version but unless you want to purchase the full you have to pay (Unless you know where to find one ;))

Why wouldn't you want to take a FC w/ a jump pack? :argh: Your commander is nothing but a waste the way he is. If you beef him a little (Force commander or commander status), ad a jump pack and either lightning claws (awesome weapons) or a power weapon/pistol, he becomes a CC monster! Int 5, doing4-5 attacks on the charge, 5-6 if you wanna give him termie honors! Just put him with the assault squad, since he can join squads, and send him in!!
He'll eat lightning and crap thunder, as they say :D :bandit:

Well see the problem is is that i dont have the parts needed to convert him and the battle is tommorow so how can i do that? Otherwise i gladly would, but right now i only have a force commander model which im going to count as a leader since otherwise hes just sucking up points

Ah, I didn't know that...
I still say up his status for the better WS, BS and Init. Just plop him next to your friend's HQ and he'll bodyguard them. It'll be worth the 15 points. If he gets 'vaped by a LR shell or something, no biggie...
Boy I wish I was playing 40K... haven't played a game in friggin months :cry: :cry:
Oh yeah.. just remember to tell your marines that BASILISK SHELLS will be raining down on them.. yaknow, NO armor save... Dunno if I'd trust my buddy w/ a basilisk if I had an all assault army...
