This is the color scheme I have painted about 6 marines so far. Liche Purple and Shining Gold
The assembly and paint is still kinda early, so it wouldn't be hard to change over my existing models to the lighter color.

IMO
Liche Purple
better contrast with white.
better render with gold.

the1st one is WAY too bright, and the second one I still think is too dark. I was experimenting today to get the "right" color, and I figured it out. Take the Liche Purple as the base, then highlight it with a mix of Liche Purple and Tentacle Pink. Then, it will be perfect :D

THe 1st one is on a black undercoated marine...... :bandit:

all you need to do is two more steps on your darker marines, take liche purple and add a little warlock purple into it, then bloack highlight with that color, and then hidghlight the rest with a mix with more warlock purle in the mix and you should be fine, the dark looks good tho, keep it dark, biut get more color stages in there dfor a better look
