I am looking for a mod maker thing, (Sorry i dont what to say here) I would like it to be good for beginners. Or if anyone can give me tips that would be fine. I have Gmax but its so complicated. Once I got the hang of a mod thing, I think I will make a Witch Hunters mod, or maybe a Thunderhawk Gunship mod, ahh one can dream.

There are many things that go onto making a mod. If you want to tweak values, you may only need a text editor. If you want to make models, you'll need a 3d tool, like gmax or Milkshape. For textures, you'll need a decent 2d paint program, like Photoshop (and NOT Paint) So the "mod maker thing" you seek could be any number of programs that are now available or may become available later. I think you should have a better idea of what you want to do before diving in and trying to add a whole race.

yes - there is no 1 application that can make your mod, u need to learn lots of different applications to create a mod from scratch.
If U want to make 3d models, then gmax is gonna have to be top of your things to learn.

The best modmaker is your ability to finish what you start. Most mods are never finished.

Believe me, Gmax isn't complicated compared to many other 3d proggies out there. If you want to do something enough, you'll learn to use the tools available or suited to do so. There are no shortcuts to quality, mods take lots of hard work.

Well I have allways wanted to be a good modmaker but I have never been able to find any good programs wich works when I have them Downloaded...so..If any of you know of ANY good 2D-3D (or any other programs I might need to get going) programs (Freeware programs of course) please tell me. If I get the hang of it I might invest in one of the bigger programs...:D

Get Gmax, its made by discreet and free to download. Gmax is what i learned to model and animate on, and for a free program its the best you are gonna get, and its great for doing mods.

Also, search th net for some good gmax tutorials - there are alot of good ones out there for beginners.
