I was wondering if you guys think im wierd cause all I do is paint guys and do custom work like custom units so on but I never played the game and when I saw it thought it was hella boring. Think im wierd or do you know others who do this?

I know many friends that reckon Warhammer 40k looks awesome, but also think its boring and probably somewhat pathetic. That, and they wouldnt fork out the money for it. Besides, you're entitled to use Warhammer 40k models in whatever way you see fit (besides re-distribution etc). You dont HAVE to play it, its an excellent modelling experience.

True enough. I don't game much anymore, as work and other commitments in life prevent it. But, i paint all the time. Atleast 1 hour a night and have done so since my 18th birthday. (I'm 33 now) Many friends of mine have never played a game of Warhammer and still buy the models to paint.

I'd check out miniatures for Confrontation, War Machine or Dogs of War if you merely want to paint and convert. Generally higher quality figures, and for the most part cheaper too.

Well I'm the opposite, i generally play a lot more than paint, but I know of plenty of people who are much more into the painting and converting side of the hobby.

So no, i dont think youre weird. Whatever you enjoy doing :bandit:

havent played warhammer since i was 14-15, still paint every blue moon tho... its relaxing and helps pass time when im bored.
