Do I have to shell out £200 for a foregeworld gargantuan squiggoth if I want to field a massive squiggoth for me feral orks? There is a normal one you can buy, but its only 6", and I need 9"+ for a massive one. Any help please.

It depends on who you game with. We use alot of "house" rules in my games. So, based on that, i'd say no. Ask your opponets before hand, and tell them it's representing a massive Squiggoth. You should have no problems, unless you game with some really uptight people.

Just buy a big stuffed Cow and strap the bed of an Ork Trukk on the back, heh.

there are rule limitation for gian squigoths tho (isn't it like bigger thna 6 inches or something liek that?) So you probably will have to dish out 500$ (a little under i think) dollars for one.

If you can make it by hand, and the oponent agrees to it, it can be feilded (but must also be of correct size ect).

According to the rules you may use any scratch model as long as it is WYSIWIG, these rules were made pre-forgeworld squiggoth and have not been superseded.

ergo a model cow with a Trukk bed as long as it is WYSIWIG is tourney legal.

Small: Under 6" 1 Big Gun
Medium: 6"-9" 1 Big Gun
Large: 9"-12" 2 Big Guns
Massive: 12"+ 3 Big Guns

The only restriction is WYSIWYG. If you don't play at GW than you could get some dino like critters from other TT games, but GW doesn't like people to do that (take THIS GW! :nana: )

I play at my local GW store, and not with my best friend because he used a box lid to represent a land raider, or any SM vehicle, so now I only play him if hes got the real stuff. But I think Id like to buy the gargantuan squiggoth, even if it will cost me £200

What the hell does WYSIWYG mean. I mean, I can handle lol, rofl is starting to push it, but what's up with initialling entire sentences?

What You See Is What You Get

Games Workshop's rule that all wargear and equpment need to be visible on the model.

If GWs' rule is WYSIWYG, then how come Marines dont have frag grenades on the models?
Or am i stupid?

they have them stashed away in their crotch pouches.

lol, fluxx, not every single model in the squad needs to have the wargear they are carrying, but if i remember correctly, GW likes it to be at least half the squad. space marines sprues do bring frag grenades, as assault marine sprues bring meltabombs.

but since space marines are the beginner army, most modelers are too inexperienced to try with the kitted out models.

the experienced SM players without represented wargear are just lazy.

i remember the days when it was enough to just declare the wargear card you were using lol

Wargear cards were nice. The biggest problem I have with strict enforcement of WYSIWYG is it takes out army flexibility. Back in the day, as long as it was discussed and pointed out beforehand, it was kosher. And with Wargear cards you had them laid out already. Most old school players disregard WYSIWYG because outside of tourney play, it's really rather pointless.

I agree, its kinda sad really, cos you can be a hardcore player and not have the faintest idea how to add to your own models or the cash to buy expesnive ones compared to the basic GW merchandise, which is already expesnive enough

I think it is assumed that since all marines (even basic troopies) can have frags that only a few in the unit actually have to have them represented. It's not like saying, "Oh yeah, that chainsword is actually a power sword, that bolt pistol is a plasma pistol, and that combat knife is actually a thunder hammer."

Inquisitors are also an exception to the WYSIWYG rule, as are their "assorted weirdos" (retinue).

you could also stuff a couple of ammo-boxes in your squad and say that "they're in there!"
