hoping to start modding need help

I am hoping to get some mod work started BUT i do not know what the best 3d thing is and were to get it. can anybody help :bandit:

whoa... you just wont start modding like that.... it takes long time untill you can master a program like 3dsmax taht is used by professionals....

you pay for 3ds studio max.... but there is a free version Gmax it has 90% of teh functioning of 3dsmax

ok that program covers for modeling now you need a good image editing program i suggest photoshop 7(costs a dime)
thats for texturing
and then you would have to learn how to code and that prog uses just the notebook that comes with windows! :D

If you're just starting you'll probably have quicker results in scripting. Check out the "modding the demo" thread for some of the things you can do.

yeah i registered for a key for Gmax today and it been about 8 hours and they aint mailed me haha.

Check your spam filters, occasionally Hotmail and other mailing services will throw the key out, thinking its spam.

And if you really want to start modeling, the gmax would be an excellent choice to begin at. Not to mention, almost all 3DS Max tutorials can be used for gmax, since its a barebones version of Max.
