Would anyone else here happily give up their Force Commander and Librarian for a Chaplain? I would be happy with a custom skin really.
Aside from that, who else uses many squads armed solely with plasma guns? I have found it to be highly effective against just about everyone I face.

What's so much better about Chaplains that would make getting rid of the FC and Librarian worth it?

I plasma squads only when fighting csm and sm-races with the majority of units as heavy infantry.

First of all chaplains rock asses.
In the TT game they are probably the best HQ option available coming standard with a power weapon and 4+ invulnerable save.
Also their trademark Skull helmet makes them look pretty damn intimidating. Their ability to rally troops is second to none.
Mostly though, they would look super cool. In most TT armies you'll see 10 Chaplains for every 1 Librarian or force commander.

Oh, p.s., this isn't strategy, so I'm moving it to the "Pointless Whinging" forum.
