Looks like everyone saying the 30 Support limit for Eldar was a "bug" were either wrong, or Relic missed it completely.
It's still there, so at this point, I vote FEATURE.

I know. During beta all the anti-eldar people crowed about it being a bug and it would be "fixed in retail".
It hasn't been "fixed", so at this point I will assume it's a feature.

With 15 webgates, you can have 24 squad (infantry) and 30 support (vehicle)

is it just me or is the avatar pretty weakass when it comes to offense.. he is pretty much just dmg absorber and usefull for the extra effects.

He pretty much adds no infantry cap because he takes up 5, and adds 5, so he keeps it the same. As for vehicle cap...... :) Yup, adds 10 :)

I rarely get to use the avatar. Either the games are too short, or it says max squad cap reached, which I dont get because hes 'self sustaining' as he adds enough pop cap for himself...
1. Raises vehicle cap to 30.
2. Takes up 5 pop so you infantry must remain at 15 until it is built, then you can build the other 2 squads which brings me to point 3
3. All eldar buildings produce and build faster.
4. Infantry near the Avatar is invurnelable to morale damage.
5. All of this is in the little black hintbox when your cursor is over its icon in aspect portal hud :bandit: :smash: :bandit:

If you keep your infantry pop level at 15 just to save space for the Avatar you are being foolish. Max out your infantry pop then just kill off a few units once he is ready to come out and you can afford to lose the units. He takes a long time to build and costs a fair amount of resources so make sure you are in fighting condition before queuing him up. He can also be a good delay unit if your base comes under attack while the rest of your units are somewhere else. Just leave him in the queue and when your base comes under attack kill off some uneeded units and let him out.

word - it can build even if pop full and stay finished - it just wont show up in game until cap is free
