Okay, I got the game yesterday and after install I logged on to my TS server, first off I actually have a second PC on my network running the TS server so it isn't actually running on the PC I use to play DoW, second I didn't have this issue in the beta.

So I log in to the TS server and see 2 friends on already, so I say hi and let them know I'm starting up the game. I launch it and, as I expect, as the game loads the sound is choppy (this is normal), once I'm in the game (not online yet though) the choppiness is gone, this is also expected.

However I go online and while waiting in the lobby I notice that TS is choppy as all get out, even when I'm not recieving any voicecomms. There is a constant sht, sht (that is how it sounds I'm not trying to spell sh!t) while in the lobby. This was not present in Beta, so I'm mystified.

Any ideas on how I need to set the sound up so this stops?

You could try under the settings and look for input/output devices. If there is more than one listed try switching them. Do you have push-to-talk on or vox (voice activation)?

Try lowering the sound in Dawn of War too.

I use PTT, but it doesn't matter cause it is the incoming sounds that are the issue not outgoing.

I haven't changed the device from what was used in beta so I'll check that but if it is on my soundcard as opposed to 'compatable' device I'll not want to change it. I'd prefer hardware acceleration over software, lol.

I set TS to abovenormal priority and the issue stopped, I was also told that swithcing from wave to direct sound may solve the issue too, I'm going to try the directsound before I say that process priority is the way to go.

Just an update, switching to direct sound instead of wave did the trick.
