Mini-map problems

Has anyone else had a problem where the mini-map in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen doesn't have any terrain detail? Mine is just black with a bunch of dots indicating my army and enemy positions.

The mini map will be black until you reveal the terrain.

Post your warnings.log file from the Install Directory.

i'm just kidding, he is one of the forums most capable people, but, getting back on topic, i was thinking that too, uber, 'tis why i had the little comment before i said to post the file, vibratingsofa2, is your minimap totaly black? + the sticky that uber posted at the top of the bug forums details the location of both these files

Yeah, the map is totally black except for the green and red dots. Doesn't matter if I move troops there or not, its TOTALLY black. No terrain detail, no color, just black.

I had the same problem as well; however, I noticed that if I changed my settings to 16 bit and then changed the different detail settings individually, I was able to see the mini-map. The problem seems to be limited to 32-bit, even though I have 512MB of RAM and a 2.4GHz processor.
