View Full Version : big problem with mission 4 warboss disappearing (spoiler)

Okay so here's what's going on.

I initially had the fatal scar error in mission four due to the recognized multiple base bug. I used the workaround, which is to delete one base before building the second one, and before destroying the orcs in the area where the secondary or 'forward' base is to be built.

Okay, dandy..no more fatal scar error.

But now there's anew problem. The warboss keeps disappearing.

I have tried sending infiltrating scouts past the big mother elepahnt thing, and snuck right up to the warboss...he is there when I use this method. But when they sneak back and I lead a bloody offensive through the gauntlet to his location, he's gone.

I tried sending scouts to draw him out, and of course they got pummeled...and he left his area slighty, but when I came back with a backup infiltration squad, he was nowhere to be found.

Likewise when I launch an all out attack against his position, when my marines get there, he's AWOL.

What's the deal?

I believe 4's the mission from the demo isn't it? Or is that 5? (I've not gotten that far in SP yet)

Does the warboss have to be there? Has he gone off into another part of the map?

I have listening posts all along the path of egress, and troops stationed at key points, but he's still nowhere to be found. He's kind of important because the mission success requires that you kill him and destroy his base.

He is definitely still on the map somewhere, he isnt being made invisible or something, just hiding out somewhere. Be sure to search the entire ork base area for him.

Okay cool thanks for your help guys...and also thanks from the bottom my heart for a game that actually captures the spirit of warhammer. You guys rule.

Now go out and have people buy you drinks. You deserve it.

just don't make the patch while you are hung over.
