Unable to skip logo's/intro movie

No matter what or how many buttons I push, I cannot skip the opening logo screens nor the intro movie. I mean I love the movie, but I'd like to just play now without waiting five minutes.

If I need to post a warnings.log and all that... I'm not sure where to find those files.

Hmmmm after you've watched it once, you should be able to skip it by Hitting Escape.

Warnings.log file is in the Dawn of War directory.

I just got it today and have this problem - there is something in the local.ini that goes like "forcewatchmovies" that is always 1 - even if you change it and start dow it will make you watch movies then that will be set to 1 again :(

as a fix - I went to root/engine/movies - here you will find 3 movie files for the intro - rename them by just adding a 1 to teh end of the name or something - it will just go straight to the loading screen upon start

forcewatchmovies=1 is actually poorly named, as when set to 1 it means that you should be able to skip the movies - it's when the line doesn't exist or is 0 that it forces you to watch them.
Beyond that, I don't know why it's not letting you skip movies when you have that line in your local.ini - as far as I know it's using the same input code as the rest of the UI to check for the ESC key, so as long as you can use that elsewhere in the UI, it should be working..

Did you crash out every time? The forcewatchmovies=1 is only written to the local.ini file when you exit the game (successfully, not on a crash).

You can also create a shortcut and add the command line parameter "-nomovies".
