Frame Rate/Game Lag problem

I'm having an odd graphics problem with DoW. The game runs smoothly on my machine except for when I scroll over a base. When scrolling over and trying to command while over a base the frame rate significantly drops and I get really bad lag. I'm not sure what is casuing this as the demo ran perfectly on my computer without this problem occuring. I figured if I had a problem like this it would occur when watching a big battle between several units. During those sceens however, the game runs seemlessly. Does anyone have any idea why this is happeneing or how I can fix it?

Note: My computer's specs are better then the reccomended specs for the game. Also, this problem occurs in sinlge player.

Please post a dxdiag dump (Start > Run, type DXDIAG, click Save All Information, paste it here), and the contents of your warnings.log, graphicsconfig.log, and local.ini.

A guess without that information, but you might have shadows on high detail, but a cpu/video card that isn't fast enough for that (and bases are where the stencil shadows are used most).
