Issue with Lan, need help.

Me and a friend keep trying to setup a LAN game but when we try to connect to one another it says error connection timed out.

I am currently running Windows XP Service Pack 2. I already made sure that Warhammer was made an exception on the Firewall and even added the UDP port that it uses. I am currently at work so I cannot post my warnings log, but any insight on this issue would be great.

On another note when I have an internet connection and try to connect to his LAN game it tries for a second and then gives me the error that either the game was quit or timed out.

I don't really know much about how LAN works but I may have a few suggestions:

1) Does your friend's computer have Windows XP Service Pack 2 as well?

2) Is his version of the game up to date?

3) Is his LAN connection broken or loose, or vice versa?

4) Do computers hate you?

That last one was a joke ok, so don't bite my head off or anything, I dunno if any of these help but hey, I tried! :D

No, but i'm hoping it's not that. (Never know with MS)

Ugh, I hate to reformat the beast not too long ago so it better not hate me yet.

Same happend with me today and i was using his sisters comp. it has probs connecting through a port 6760 i think im not sure i just knew there was a 6 in it :P

Probably port 6667... which is an IRC port. Make sure all firewalls are off/configured properly.
