banshee, gate says vs heavy, unit says vs infantry

AFAIK it's infantry. The only heavy infantry eldar has is Warp Spider and platforms.

If anyone of you ever read Maddox's "Best page in the universe" he had an entire like 3 page post about how much he can't stand people with extensive acronyms and I totally agree. Sorry this is completely off topic.

I personally like AFAIK. The term comes up a lot, and saves a lot of typing. It's not LEET speak or anything. It's totally understandable, and that's all that matters.

I like Maddox and all (debated with him a lot for C&C Generals), but he's not the style dictator of the universe.

I'm not 100% sure on this rule, but I think it would be safe to assume that whatever shows up when you have the unit itself selected is probably correct.

Reasoning:

The text in the production building is just a tooltip, and probably just typed in as flat text, while the text in the unit display probably references the unit's type directly, from its stats.

Seems like a fairly safe assumption to make.

Banshees are normal infantry. They are good vs. both, although they get beats by the elite close combattants (terminators; PSM)

Banshees ARE light infantry.
Banshees KILL heavy infantry.

Howling Banshees are pretty cool, but i would prefer some striking scorpions.

My fav tactic for 40k (board game, not dow) was to pile 2 squads of striking scorpions into falcons, flanked by jet bikes and vypers, and charge straight into the enemies front ranks. Even terminators will fall to those things....
