I just wanted to throw out a quick post to see if anyone else dances.

What I do, sometimes, is position 2 tac squads on either side of a path, and use a third squad (sometimes scouts) to "pull" the enemies into my crossfire. If my opponent is horrible at micro, I can make my decoy squad run back and forth and his units will follow them and not disengage to attack my other squads. Another trick that works alot better than I thought it would, is to ruch in with my squads to attack, and then retreat. i keep running away untill my opponent pulls his own forces back, and then i turn my units around and fire on them as they run. Doing this back and forth actually kills off my opponents units faster than mine.

Any thoughts/ideas are welcome.

I've found that it works against the AI as well. I've made my scout-marines run circles around a listening-post while a group of AI Slugga-boyz chases them round and round, all the while with 2 groups of marines firing away from the sidelines. Heehee.

Sometimes I dance away from a solo hero as he trys to slam my armies.

One time against the computer the cf also chased my worker arround a strategic point with a turret while my units were pelting him and he would stop to attack the turret and my worker would repair it and it would start the cycle over again.

I think this game can have a lot of that action with scouts and the hero in early game.

when they send there FC at me i usually dance, and if hes paying attention and changes
i dance the other squad, its pretty funny to watch, but in mid game late, im not good
enough at micro to dance

A very good decoy tactic, is to have one decoy Tactical Squad and an ambush team of 2 heavy tactical squads (with heavy weapons, mainly x4 heavy bolters or missile launchers)

The decoy squad will stir up some trouble and lay down some fire, forcing the enemy to do 3 things:

1) Ignore
2) Attack with their own infantry
3) Artillery

If they ignore, then thats great, ill be doing some nice damage, if they use artillery, i pull out and bring my own counter-batterl.

If they attack with infantry or vehicles, i pretend to retreat and lead them straight to my ambush team that is holding ground and stop the retreat to set up and fire back while the enemy walks into the heavy fire. If they turn around, chase them :)

if the enemy decide to batter me with artillery, i get them to fire on a worker (dancing :jig: ) and send some dreads to blow them up
