I'm not 100% sure and I only play against the AI, but in a couple of accasions I noticed that space marines fall faster than chaos space marines. Space marines seemed to have better moral though. Can anyone conirm that?

I think they are more or less equivalent in resistance, but CSMs pack more of a punch. But yes, space marines have MUCH better morale. Its relatively easy to break CSMs so always have morale hitting units (flamers, snipers and DON'T FORGET whirlwinds!)

BUt as SM go I think your SM can hold the line better then CSM simply becuz u can Rally your forces and we cannot. That gives a good advantage in a huge line-to-line crash in battle

CSMs break easier, don't have rally, and need something like 50% of their full morale to recover.

Space marines can recover at like 15% of full morale and have Rally to boot.

CSMs are very vulnerable to artillery and morale breaking weapons, although they are slightly tougher.
