Hi all, what units are the most effective for countering units such as dreadnaughts, defilers etc..?
The kind of vehicles encountered in the midgame, obviously Fire Prism Tanks rock, but they're end game.

I do believe Wych blades have bonuses vs. vehicles. I'll have to verify that though.
Bright Lance Weapon platforms do great damage.

Brightlance platforms are your bread and butter. They have a long range and do solid damage, so a cluster of them can rip up enemy vehicles before they become a significant threat. Just remember to keep them protected, as they're considered Heavy Infantry and thus can be killed fairly easily.
Wraithguard walkers with the Brightlance upgrade are also a good option, as they're very resilient to anti-infantry weapons and can engage on the front line if needed. Much more expensive than plats though, so they're closer to late-game tech.
Warp Spiders with Haywire grenades are decent, but I wouldn't rely on them for much more than surgical strikes. Use them to blow up artillery or fragile buildings behind enemy lines.
Other than that, your options as Eldar are Prisms and the Avatar. Every other unit is pretty terrible against vehicles.

Has anyone had any luck using Vypers with the missile upgrade against vehicles?
Sure, they're fragile, and are better suited to hit-and-runs than any sort of frontline role, but I keep trying to find a use for the little things.

Vypers can jump, can't they? I'd think they'd be used in a role very similar to Warp Spiders-- like MagiTek (who has owned me 1v1 btw) said, as surgical strikes behind enemy lines. They just die SO fast to rockets, while Brightlances (which come faster) need to be taken down with plasma or concentrated bolters, and not many people get plasma against Eldar.

i Can't even knock units down with the Eldar Missile Launcher, like you can with the SM missile Launcher. That annoyed me.
I'll have to give it a try. The Twin Linked Shuriken Catapults do excellent damage believe it or not as well.

Well now that there is no benefit to attaching platforms to squads I do not see a reason to do so. You no longer get the pop freed up by attaching them and they have moral when attached.

aw fuck. Even though their good theres just no class taking around a bunch of brightlances without a group. with a group theres class.

One advantage to attached platforms is that you can load attached platforms into a Webway Gate... i think. It's not much, but it does let you quickly move them around the map in a pinch, if you have the gates set up.
