Description of Battle: well it was my first online game, and i think i did quite well in defending his SC...the guy left as soon as i broke his council.

i would love to hear some comment from seasoned players on my strat.

thanks in advance

You did quite nicely, the eldar player did some very drastic mistakes there like running his rangers into the thick of your troops.
Two things that stood out:
-You didn't cap one of the strategic points in your base and in the end even had a scout squad standing still a screen away from it.
- You both had lots of resources just sitting in the bank while you fought, could have easily tipped the battle either way if one of you would have used them. He also had a lot better economy going than you.

All in all pretty nice micro and tactic.

Positives: Once you went on the offensive you kept the pressure on and pushed home your advantage. Use of flamers critical to you winning.

Negatives: Workers idle when they could have been helping build, not capping points, not getting LPS down quick enough. No early scout harassment.

Observations: The Eldar player putting so many resources into a seer council and rangers he didn't use properly cost him the match, rather then you being strictly better then him. You'll notice he had more req coming in then you, he just fluffed it totally. You did OK, but it was more down to your opponent being inexperienced.

The flamers were good, and the observations are just the same as what people have said already.

You could have used the extra Req for more squads just in case, and also the Post that you did not see, just south of your base about 5 inches away :P

I would have thought that a HeavyBolter would have reduced the guardians down to size easily, leaving you, much earlier with just the SeerCouncil to face.

Although not perfectly managed (the Eldar), it shows that the SC is beatable.

thanks for the reviews.
yeah after watching the replay myself i saw some of the mistakes i made. eg: leaving my base more or less unattended

one question tho:
_Phoenix_ mentioned i didn't get my LPS fast enough. how to do it faster ? more servs ?

Very minor point, its 10 seconds before you do anything at the start of the game.

Specifically, at the 1:08 your servitor builds a LP. Theres another servitor next to the barracks doing nothing who could help build. You then don't cap one of the points in your base and don't put LPs on either the other point you did cap in your base or the one just above your base.

Thats why the Eldar player was getting a lot more req' then you.
