Nice and short...
But that way i will use the Bolt Pistol and not the Bolter, what is the best option??

wait is this a new techmarine? because the rules for equipiing them isn't known yet (liek their shiny new plasma cutter...)

Anyways if its an old one, it can have a bolter and a bolt pistol (but thats pointless...) or just ignore the bolter and keep the pistol and add an axe.

In the other hand he is holding a thing seems like its connected to the backpack...it´s an old one...

oh...you mean the helmeted old one?

Then i guess keep the bolter for some fire power, and give him a CC.

*shrugs*

I haven't seen the new Codex rules for techmarines yet but in the past they have never really been worth it for including in your army.

they are chaning them back to there old function, they will be a "squad" type choice of them selves backed by servitors. They will be able to fix immobile vehics. They will have a choice of servitors as well. They can can get servitors, warrior servitors and fixer servitors.

Add all that together and what do you have? Some nasty stuff that i can hardly wait for;). My assumption would be that a bolt pistol and CC weapon (preferably a special one - duh) would be the best option. Characters (most, but all Marine ones) are made for CC, so its best to exploit this fact and use them in the way designed. Of course, i could be totally wrong and its not as good at CC as i am expecting. Guess we'll find out.

In fact,Techmarine got that Servo-arm wich counts as a Power Fist, and that got to be usefull...

Yes, and apparently that servo arm will hit off WS rather than always a 4+, making it the same as the Iron Warriors version. Still, they get some wicked ranged weaponry too from what i've heard.

Add to the fact that now you can have Techmarine's roving around with small squad's of Multi-melta's and heavy bolters and you have a pretty attractive option, if you ask me.

Heck, I've been itching to try out an IG Tech priest for very much the same reason (and because my tanks have a habit of breaking things).

Unfortunately though, while Servitors can dish it out, they can't take it. Take care when using them when they become available.

Just review the latest IG codex for how TechMarines are going to work since they will undoubtedly be exactly like TechPriests

Like Techpriests? How so? I havent seen the new Guard codex so please elaborate.

Techpriests can take a variety of servitors. This was already in place in the Space Wolves codex, which is one reason I gravitated to them. Iron Priest was an elite choice which cold be joined by 1-4 Thralls (servitors). In the new IG codex you can take a 1-2 Techpriest Engineers as a single elite choice. They can each have 50 points in servitors, of which there are 5 models divided into 3 types.
*Technical(10pts). +1 to repair rolls (cumulative)
*Combat(25pts). Close combat servitor, armed w/ PF and CCW
*Gun-HeavyBolter(25)
*Gun-MultiMelta(35)
*Gun-PlasmaCannon(45)

So, I would assume going forward that TechMarines will be afforded the same options.

I see. I didnt realise the I.G had such a thing. They might be set out like the Daemonhunter's Servitors though, or neither for that matter and could be a totally different set up but with the same weapons options. Who knows, but it all ends the same way anyway.

The new techmarine can buy a pack of stuff, which includes twin linked plasma pistol, and a flamer he will have 2 or 3 attacks in cc, plus 2 powerfist attacks, and a 2+ save......ill shut my mouth now, no need for all of us to be drooooooling :P

Brother Wolf

Well the SW Iron Priest is 80 and the IG TechPriest is 45, but then his stats are WAAAY worse than a Space Marine.

but he isn't limited to 50 pts of servetor.. He can have four no matter the cost! (But only one armed with plasmacannon, but what does that matter when you can reroll one miss?)
