Since the survey didn't contain any freeform suggestion boxes and I don't know how to email anyone who deals with that survey, I thought I'd post here and hope someone with influence will see it or at least pass it on
Firstly, the survey is a great idea guaging players interests for the next 40K game. My favourite was the first option of the "Space Marine squad based first player" game but I also like the "roleplaying Inquistor game" so my suggestion is a game that combines these two elements to become a roleplaying Inquistor game that allows you to requisition troops (eg Space Marines, Imperial guard, prechers, assassins etc) to part of your squad
Just my two cents

Mate relic doesnt seem that interested in their existing game, DoW.
Relic wouldnt be making the game suggested as it is not an RTS and they are an RTS developer - the survey was posted on the THQ site and is nothing to do with Relic.
anyway, what makes you say they arent interested in it? theyve patched it and have promising more patches + improved multiplayer features + development kit and map editor...what more can they do?
back on topic: never really been into that kind of roleplaying game...my personal preference would definately be another RTS (some way down the line, theres plenty of life in DoW for now...expansions etc) or maybe a decent FPS (ie not another firewarrior). When you think of the 40k Universe the possibilities for locations are almost endless...Id love to see something like RtCW (a good singleplayer where you play as, say, an imperial assassin and a multiplayer mode where you play in teams to carry out certain objectives...instead of just axis vs allies you could have marines (choice of weapons + apothecary + whatever), chaos (similar), Eldar (choice of aspects), Orks (choice of weapons + doks, mekboyz etc)...perhaps even something like a genestealer cult (some players could play as purestrain genestealers).
Would probably never happen but if it did Id buy it :p. Maybe someone could mod RtCW for me...;)

I'd go with the RTS choice in the survey however...
...Since I really, REALLY want to see expansions and follow ups to complete this potentially very strong WH40k-engine, before they move on...

its not like relic is the only co that can make wh40k games, keep relic with the rts and hire someone else to do an fps say the guys who made farcry or painkiller.

To be honest, neither do you, Varvidos. :D

I posted here just in case a relic person might pass this info onto a THQ person.
The reason I want a "roleplaying inquistor squad based game" cause it would be similiar the the actual GW Inquistor game which was great but just didn't have the interest that the main 40K game does

How about a WH fanasty battle RTS game using the DoW engine??

Mate relic doesnt seem that interested in their existing game, DoW. A patch after only about a month hardly shows lack of interest, considering that's faster than many RTS games get patched.
Nurgleboy, WH40k uses far smaller groups of units than WH Fantasy. A Fantasy RTS would be better done in something like the Rome: Total War engine.

I always liked the idea of Epic 40k in the Total War engine, turn based on the overworld map but RTS battles based on the units you have in the area. Ahh...well....one dream came true (DOW!!!)

I would love Relic to do another RTS based on the Starwars universe, unfortunately the guys at Petroglyph (ex Westwood guys) are working on one... hope it turns out good..
ummm...where did you hear that petroglyph is doing a Star Wars RTS? Their website has, for some time, said "top secret killer project". This is undoubtably an RTS...but where did you get star wars from? Anyway, arent all star wars games made by Lucasarts?

Lucasarts doesn't exclusively make their games these days, they play much more of a publisher role - they use other developers - e.g Raven for the Jedi Knight Series, Bioware for KOTOR etc etc.
The news on the new SW RTS was picked up from a Q&A Lucasarts' Jim Ward - see last paragraph here (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/nm/20041110/film_nm/film_lucasarts_dc).
