Hi all. I've been lurking in these forums since DoW came out but mostly have stuck to the strategy threads.
That's all changed now since the Mod tools came out. :D
I'm pleased to announce the release of my first map called Urban Hell. You can get it here:

They made it one of the "featured" maps today. (Which isn't that unique around here, I'm sure. But it did make me smile.)
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it.

Map loaded and ran properly.
Good-sized urban combat map. 3x3 opponents start north-south and fight over the big middle. Lots of places to attack, lots of places to be attacked from. This is a night-fighting map, so dark-painted armies ( like mine ) are hard to to see. Map is very well drawn, althought the low light washes out some of the details. Perhaps a day-light version is in the works.
Great job.

Thanks for the feedback snake! I'm curious did you play this in MP aginst humans or skirmish against ai?
Also if you would like to see a daylight version of the map i'd have no problem doing that, but i would prolly wanna make some changes to the details of the map. It will have to wait though since i've started my next map entitled "The Grip of Chaos."
Thanx again.

I played this map this weekend and its a great map! Lots of replay ability and well balanced. One thing I noticed was that some of the bases have chicken wire and tank traps in front of the base and others have it but it is further out. The comp AI never attacked my base but did attack those that have the wire further out. It may be a pathing issue that gives you an advantage while playing comps but it doesn't make any difference when playing other people. Great map!

The reason i ask about the ai in skirmish is, that when my friends and i play this map against ai, we find it to be some of the hardest ai games we have ever played. And that was just with the difficulty set at normal and hard! I was just wondering if anyone else had felt that way too.
