Hw:c Help!!

Ok, im new to these forums so I would like to say Hello to everyone in here.

Now to my problem.....

I am trying to play HWC on my computer, the funny thing is that, i can only choose software mode.....i am running windows XP, radeon 64mb ddr vivo, amd Athlon XP 1700+ and 256 megs of ram.......when i put compatibility mode, the only one that works is windows NT, i then am able to choose OpenGL but the game freezez when i try and bring up any menu in the game, like Build or Research..... i Got HW the original and that one works just fine......so why doesnt the new one work????? it should at least thats my opinion...

any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for ur time

Try the latest Catalyst Drivers from ATI to see if they help.

I just downloaded the new catalyst drivers, and it didnt work.
But i managed to get the d3d runnin so its all good.:D
anywho......i got another question for ya.......whats better OpenGL or D3D???? For Homeworld anyways

For Homeworld I prefer OpenGL.
