Dawn of War Planet Map Contest

Rules

1. Only open to US Residents. Or be willing to pay for shiping to were you live.
2. Maps must have a "Dawn of War Planet" theme
3. Maps must be LARGE, 8-player and include all levels of detail
4. Only one submission per registered user of DoWP http://wh40k.mednickonline.com/index.php
5. Maps will be judged on playability, balance, aesthetics and detail


Submit all maps to Bill_Brooks (aka Zoltron_Bill) for inclusion to the contest. Post a link to the map here or email me a link. I don't have broadban so only email me the map if there is no other way. My email nojunk_bbrooks@brainerd.net remove the nojunk_ from the address. Maps must be submitted by midnight 12/31/04. The winner will be announced when judging is complete.

The winner will receive a boxed retail copy of Dawn of War signed by the entire Relic development team and DevlshOne.

I'm posting this since this is where the OGzr team first heard of this contest.

Its a real shame how this contest was handled by a site that wants to promote and support the DoW community. Our team entered Arx Mercatus for this contest over a month ago. Since we were the only team to enter a map, Bill informed me via email that we won by default.

I've posted several replies in the DoWP forums (http://wh40k.mednickonline.com/modules.php?name=XForum&file=viewthread&tid=1836#pid22490) and not one admin, including DevlshOne, has had the courtesty to respond.

Don't think I'll be participating in any further events hosted by Dawn of War Planet.

I assumed this contest was put on hold because of the official Relic contest - and that's why there was no news about it.

Then again, the prize was not really worth competing for, since you have to have Dawn of War already to enter.

I also don't know whats going on at Dawn of War Planet.
Sure I can read the forums the public ones but for some reason I can't log on and respond to them, and I can't get it to the private staff forums. I have tried pms to devilshone and email. To try and fix this and so far no luck and only one email back to me.

Sure the prize wasn't super great but still a signed copy of the game, is still a nice prize. I have won map contest before that I wish had a prize this good.

Good luck with getting ahold of the people at DoW Planet. It doesn't sound good that they aren't responding to their messages. :(
