View Full Version : Question about We'll be back

I've just run into something rather interesting.
If Fabius Bile wounds a Necron with the Rod of Torment, does the Necron get a We'll be Back roll?

does the rod of torment allow armour saves in CC, or is it an instant death weapon?, if so, the necron wont get it, unless of course you have an orb

It allows armour saves.

but if a wound is in flicted it kills the model out-right speaking of fabus bile I have him but I always used my deamon prince instead of him so I converted him into a chaos lord with a power fist and bolt pistol he looks kool :D

the only thing that will stop necrons coming back to life, are - a weapon in cc that allows no armour save, a weapon that causes instant death, if the model in question is no within 6" of another model of the same type. however a resurection orb can negate the first two, and a lord can ignore the third.
the rod of torment fulfiles non of these criteria, there for they can get back up.
at least thats the way i see it.

Actually, the Rod of Torment probably wouldnt allow the WBB roll. It says that "is immediately disabled by the pain and removed as a casualty even if they have any remaining wounds". This can quite easily be interpreted as a weapon that causes instant death, and so no WBB roll is allowed.

unless a lord has an orb and the model is within 6" of the lord, or if it is against the lord then he must have a phalctry in order to possibly survive (i cant spell and i think im right after the orb bit...)

necrons dont feel pain. the rod would reduce a necron model of more than one wound to zero but they would still get thier 'second chance'.

or if it is against the lord then he must have a phalctry in order to possibly survive
lords can use there orbs on themselves
