View Full Version : Ever seen these before?
Look what I found under 40k :banned:
Loaded Dice (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31399&item=5947213807&rd=1)
Straight Dice (with a purpose) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31399&item=5947213832&rd=1)
How would your opponent not notice THESE puppies? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31399&item=5947213898&rd=1)
Surely it's not as easy as all that to cheat? They don't provide dice for tourneys?
BTW I wasn't really sure which forums these go in. Move where appropriate if need be.
Edit: Is there any way to report this kind of thing? Or would eBay even care?

That's so unethical.
[Cough] I should buy them [Cough]
That cough damaged my moral compass...

Wow, talk about spoiling the game...that person deserves to be kicked in the nuts, along with all bidders.

I'm a little concerned by the fact that he's advertising the effectiveness of his dice based on having been banned from Rogue Trader tournaments...
Shouldn't that be giving him some kind of a hint??

Some people take that as a point of pride. I know more cheaters than fair players.
And yes, they should all be taken outside and kicked in the nuts so as not to contaminate my gene pool. (Fortunately, being over 6 feet tall, 215lbs and ex-military, I have an edge in the "take 'em outside and beat on 'em" category)

the "sixtastic" ones make me laugh.
You really wouldn't notice a dice with two six's lol

Oh dear. "0 bids", "0 bids" and "0 bids". That made me smile. But it was this that really made me laugh:
"Although it is not shown in the picture, this auction also includes an official Games Workshop 25mm Round Slotted Base."
I don't know how anyoue could have resisted that offer!

Oh, he included the slotta base so he could list the auction as warhammer 40k, so it would come up in all my searches : /
And to be completely honest, it would probably take me quite a while to notice dice with 2 sixes. I'm not the kind of person who would suspect something like that (but I probably am now) just because someone isn't rolling 1's.
If someone really were to mix those in with other dice, I doubt anyone would catch him.

If the dice were really clever, one of them would be missing a 1, another missing a 2, etc...

Hahaha! What a strange individual.
Still... :bandit:
Damn, I see no one's bidded on my dice yet :D
I could use a few of them..... [against all the cheaters that play 40K at my local store]

You wouldn't really need a second '6' on the dice....for 40k, any roll of 4 or over is usually plenty for what you need. It would be easier to disguise if it was a random mix of which low numbers were missing and which high numbers replaced them.

Yeah, I heard a story about a guy who had dice where two of the sides had "5" on them.

As far as I read this, these dices don't have two 6's, it's meerely a weigt diferance that makes the wonder. Noone could see it without looking carefully when the dices where rolled and how they behaved.. I would say imposible when mixed with the plain...
Isn't it just to easy to spoil a good game?

There were 3 sets of dice. One was weighted like you say, one had two faces with 6 and the other was normal.

Ya weighing the dice is more of a practical way of cheating. Haveing a dice with 2 6's is pretty risky. :mdance:
by the way, that was sarcasm. All who cheat should get the official kick in the NADES.

Like someone wouldn't be able to spot that! If you use cheat dice you're just asking for trouble, as soon as someone finds out...

I think it wouldn't be impossibly hard to notice weighted dice, especially if the guy rolled it individually. They wouldn't "roll" properly.

Sixes on all sides??? Surely someone would notice that...
Voyager_I
7th Jan 05, 2:18 PM
no only on two sides, and on opposite sides from each other (so you won't get two sixes showing at once). However, using them all together and unmixed would be asking to get caught...

You'll win except when you have to take Leadership tests... The only part of the game I'm lucky at ^__^

I've seen dice with three sides a 6 and three sides a 5. Less noticable than the all sixes dice but still cheesy. A friend used them in D&D as a joke ONCE. After that, ALL of dice were given a good once over by everybody in the group. (He admitted the joke after the first roll and re-rolled using legal dice so we didn't have to castrate him ::): )

The magice di is funny...
"loaded" dice and two sided dide are magicks of Tzeentch!!!!
There the Inquisition must...take them...and..."not use them"... :D
Really though cheaters suck.
They suck the nades which you speak of.
plus, I mean, the best way to cheat is the way mentioned in Guys & Dolls
"hey, those dice have no holes"
"yeah they do, you cant see them, your so far away."
"you couldn't see them ei-"
*I point to a big gangster guy who cracks his knuckles*
"oh, if you put it that way, I see those dice are A-OK"

Err, well, before I got into 40k and Warhammer at all, I used to have this loaded die that came with some disney magazine. Pretty nifty, but I never got an opportunity to us...err...burn them :bandit: .
Heh, I wouldnt have used them anyway cuz I prefer to play Deathmatch games with my bro, meaning we play the match and then we take a fight afterwards, just to make sure the "right" person won  .
