I notice space marines dreadnought without assault cannon upgrade stands still while taking fire unless I specifically order it to attack. The stances were the standard ones.

Thanks,

Bye.

The problem here is that the dreadnought won't pursue the enemy because it's current default stance only allows it to chase for a short distance and the enemy are firing from beyond this distance. And since the standard dreadnought doesn't have any ranged weapons on it, it just stands there taking the heat.

The only workaround I found is to set these walkers to F5 stance wich simply makes them pursue any enemies they see. This can be inconvenient since they'll pursue like there's no tomorrow into enemy terrirory.

Another option is to equip them with a ranged weapon or group them up with ranged units so the enemy isn't taking free shots at you.

I see this as more of a tactical issue than a game bug as the dread will pursue if the enemy gets too close.

All right, I'll use your suggestion.

Thanks.

I've seen a Defiler do this at relatively close range. And they have copious range weapons.
