Hi guys,
I'm a new Homeworlder -- my copy of the game arrived in the post about an hour ago -- and I've been an avid fan of the demo for a few weeks now.
I ordered my game from an on-line business, and it was advertised as the game of the year edition -- however, they sent me an original release of the game in what looks like a DVD case (!) :(
I am unbothered by this, for the most part. What irks me the most is that I didn't get a Homeworld soundtrack CD or a game manual. Thanks to this forum, I found a place where I can download mp3s of Homeworld, which I plan on making a CD out of. However...I can't find a manual anywhere.
I imagine that Homeworld came with a large and extensive manual, with lots of background info that I need to know before getting into the game. Unfortunately, I haven't found it yet.
Is the manual an essential? I'm the type who likes to peruse a huge manual over a few days and get absorbed in the back story of a game. Homeworld's story (from what I've picked up) is extensive and compelling, so I'm guessing I lost out here.
If anyone can answer my question, that'd be groovy.
Thanks
