Hey the dude has a right to speak. I dropped out of the game becuase nothing new was happening. No news on HW2 no good players online. Nothing. I think this is going to continue like this until Relic puts out HW2. Maybe they shouldn't have announced it until it was in the finishing stages.

If you are referring to this Homeworld general discussion forum alone then you are simply wrong. There are new things to talk about concerning Homeworld and Cataclysm on a regular basis. There are old things to discuss that many have not discussed.

I hope you aren't talking about the entire Relic boards. If so then you think just leaving them down untill Homeworld 2 is released makes more sense? No strategy forums, gallery, fiction or Sigma forums needed?

I've heard people talking about this since just before E3, when Sierra cancelled it's presentation. And when something is said over and over again, it gets irritating.

Actually, the magazines have only just picked up on the suspicious lack of news, so if anything, there'll be MORE people whining about the phantom game...

Ahh man you are indeed...well foolish. If it were within my power id ban you from the net for that quite unnessissary post about the taliban. There are a billion ways you could have handled that situation better than you did yet you choose to willingly cause or attempted to cause mental harm to another member of these boards. Indeed Aqua could have used more constructive criticism and should take a few less sips of coffee but i know where hes comming from. With people constantly being so pesimistic and imo openly trying to start a revolt in these forums start to get on ones nerves.

Ok now that thats over I can be fairly sure HW2 will not be canceled. Why? Well the technology relic has put out alone is enough to validate their life to sierra. They might however be in the process of changing publishers so THAT may be the single reason we HAVE NOT heard anything from them. If there is no one to "officially" release the information they have to keep quiet. Its sad when you constantly hear "your software sucks!" and similar comments. Relic reguardless of what happens you will ALWAYS have atleast one dedicated supporter.

With that said, it is blind faith and an unquestioning attitude that allows regimes, like the one the Taliban hopes to impose on its people, to come into being.

Relic will always be the first to have created a true space 3D RTS, and a great one at that. However it doesn't forgive their "media" philosophy, as it is practiced in the now, if that's what you want to call it. Their silence is as pathetic as it is telling. I defy them to prove otherwise.

Typically you hear atleast SOME noise when a companies about to go belly up....however in this case we've heard nothing...so im inclined to be optimistic and assume that relic has just underestimated their abilities and are having to work their arses off to make their deadline.

I don't think the silence means there is no hope. I mean we're talking about two mature adult companies. They're not going to blow a business deal over a petty squabble, what will most likely happen will be that the game will come out a little late. With a little less money in Relic's pocket. I think that one or both of companies should issue a public statement, saying what's holding them up and why we shouldn't be worried about it. Also, I'm willing to bet there are PR types in Sierra's ranks whose job it is to gauge public opinion (i.e. surfing the forums). In other words, they know we're confused and are laughing each time our 'head-less chicken dance' takes a new turn.
