its amazing what some people will do to their drives and then expect them to be replaced/repaired. found this while researching if WD would replace my replacement drive. :rage:

well, take a look lower on the page. theres one rive that was taken and bent in half... somehow. i wont ask.

Everyone knows of the IBM 75GXP errors, right? They fail about every 3-9months. I have one 45GB drive, first failure took 6 months, second failure took 4 months. It's still my main drive too... in the mail is a 80GB Western Digital and a 120GB Western Digital.

why the fuck was this moved to tech discussions? i really think its general discussion topic, its a link to pictures, not making anything about the drives, just pictures. jesus.

Uh-uh-uh, Tombo... use that language and you'll find yourself off these forums faster than a Probe.

I once knew a guy who had to get rid of "sensitive company data" (no not at Enron), so he drilled thru all the drives (20 of 'em) with a big drill. Kinda fun to watch :D
