I can get it to run on my old Geforce 2...But Dawn of War is having issues with my friends computer . Spooge error.
I wanted to know, is the card simply unsupported or is there something I can do?
well Id never heard of the card which wasnt a good sign...a bit of googling shows that its a rather dated onboard card. Theres not a chance of it running DoW or any other recent game - your friend could probably play an old Tomb Raider game or the Sims or something...but nothing more advanced than that.

When he used the words "My grandpa installed it" I chuckled and thought as much.
Oh well. I'll make him go buy a 50 dollar geforce2.
Geforce 2 wont run it great...but it will at least run. Im sure you can recommend him some decent cards if he wants games to look pretty and hes got the money to get a new one (Ive been using a Radeon 9800 pro for the last 18 months and it runs every game I own perfectly...its far from the only good card out there though).
S3G family of integrated chips will not run DoW.

For $50 you could get a 9200se (if it's PCI, sounds like you wouldn't have an AGP slot). That would be the best for the price. Here's a link to the one I put in my sister's comp:

Its not the greatest but it gets the job done. You might want to list your other specs. If you mobo is that old, something tells me you might have a very outdated system in general, and may not be able to play DoW even with the video card upgrade.

For $109.00 he could get a gf 6600. It's really not a bad card either.
