Ooooo, 'real' art.
Very good. I want to see when you're finished.
What mediums did you use?
I finished it last week, but didn't get to scan it until today. I present to YUO:

Done with a Bic #2 mechanical pencil and a Faber 6B.

Extremely well done. You're a true artist. For some reason I like the Unfinished one even more, though that is not to say that the finished one is lesser, it's just the unfinished drawing is more exciting because it's still in progress. Fantastic drawing, if you're not doing this professionally, theres no reason why you shouldn't.

that is friken amazing.
you should sell your work.
Glad you guys think it's so good. I've never really considered myself an 'organic' artist - in the past I've focused on mechanical objects, usually side views. This is possibly the third or fourth portrait-style drawing I've ever done, and I'm amazed it turned out so well. :D
Anyway, if you're interested in a version of the final that's the same size as the first, in-progress one (I shrank the final accidentally) then check it out here (http://gideon.guidestone.com/misc/artwork/fman.large.jpg).

Quite good. Impressionist, yet realist... I hope to someday be that good. Stick with the portraits and "real" art, I say! :)
-edit-
Funny, my art teacher said never to use mechanical pencils. shows how much she knows!

Woah, molo...
Mr-e-Man - someone who tells you there's a "correct" and "incorrect" way of doing art is an idiot.

Too true. I'll be sure to correct her on that.:)
