View Full Version : No "tech" from computer opponents?

My friends and I like to play co-op versus computer opponents and we've noticed that since the patch, we no longer seem to encounter any "technology" from our opponents.

For instance, we have NEVER seen a Dreadnought or Predator from the Space Marines, a Defiler from Chaos, or a Wraithlord from the Eldar.

Does the computer AI no longer build machine cults, machine pits, etc.?

And in our opinion, Chaos is insanely harder... their Chaos Marine squads cut through bolter squads like a hot knife through butter. They've even mown down a Dreadnought like it was nothing.

Thanks for listening!

Thanks for the prompt response, UberJumper! I will certainly try this out.

I must say that I'm a little surprised that the resolution of this issue lies in a "mod", rather than a patch.

Is this Skirmish AI a Relic-supported mod, i.e. will this AI be incorporated into a later patch, or am I to assume that this kind of gaming is not high on Relic's priority list?

Many thanks!

What are the chances that relic will launch another patch to fix the 1.3 patch?

I was just wondering if this mod can be backed out or not.
Is there a way of getting back to the original un-modded state?

dont install the skirmish mod yet, mods wont work with 1.3 until the new mod tools are out. When the mod has been converted to be 1.3 compatible it will install a separate icon on your desktop so you can either play with the mod or without.

My point was primarily that others are reporting the issue as well.

I've seen Ork AI tech up, but rarely. I think something was broken AI wise in the last patch. Hopefully we can get it clearly identified so Relic can fix it.

I see... that's good to know.

Thanks for the info, UberJumper... you're always very helpful and I, for one, really appreciate it!

Thanks ÜberJumper.

Hey, sorry to hear about the cancer. I just checked out your website. I sort of guess that ÜberJumper is German for Parachute Jumper. Thats cool!
