Now, the thing that DOW taught us is that customers are sick of the Blizzard-styled wait-forever-till-eternity patching system. The problem with the old patching method is that it's a bit of a hassle for players to download patches of the net until they realised that they could not patch the game properly. :sick:

However, what if you Relic guys could streamlise the patching system? You know, make a patching system that'll ease the burden for both developers and consumers? Think about it. Fast, on the fly patching system. Exploits and bugs fixed in a week. For example, Arenanet's Guild Wars. Think about it. A system like that will enable you to dominate the market easily. ;)

Also, how stable will the Essense engine be?

Also, how stable will the Essense engine be? Will it be much easier to work with and less buggy than the IC/DOW engine?

DoW is hardly buggy by the standards of most modern games, also if the devs knew it was going to unstable they would fix it.

Nononono. That's not what I meant. What I meant to say is that will it be MORE stable? I'll edit it out to avoid confusion. ^^;

I doubt that CoH will attract many players as Guild Wars does...I think one of the developers already stated that modifying or adding something might break something that it's working fine. I think it would be pretty hard to solve stability bugs on the fly and balance issue must be tested throughly before throwing them to the players.
