New Google Toolbar

Being the Google fanboy that I am, I felt it my duty to let everyone know that Google just released a new toolbar. Among its new features, a built in spell checker for message boards. Now no one has an excuse.

I really don't trust google for anything else than presenting me with a few not-too-ad-ridden links after I have entered my search query. And since Opera comes with a nifty little google search box I don't feel the need for a desktop search bar thingamajing.

I'm with sidewinder.

Firefox comes with a handy dictionary - just type "dict <word>" in your url box to search for that word at dictionary.com. It should correct both spelling errors and those times when the word you're looking for is simply wrong, which has happened to me on occasion.

The only reason I ever used the Google Toolbar was to block ads when using IE; Firefox handily solved that problem on it's own and I've never really needed the toolbar since.

More ways for people to spellcheck is always good, though!
